On June 24 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin visited construction materials hypermarket Leroy Merlin in Kazan.
Leroy Merlin is a French retailer company that specializes in sales of construction and decoration materials. The company was founded in 1923 in the North of France and today takes the 3d place in Europe by sales of construction goods.
The first Leroy Merlin store opened in Mytishchi in 2004. There are now 25 hypermarkets in 14 Russian cities.
New Leroy Merlin hypermarket opened in Kazan between Chistopolskaya and Amirkhan streets on June 19. The company carried out work on improving the surrounding area and constructed parking for 932 cars.
The amount of investments in the project made 1 bln rubles. Total area of the store is 18 thousand m².
During the excursion around the store Rustam Minnikhanov saw the whole variety of goods (33 thousand items).

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
