On 24 May, speaking at a videoconference with all municipalities of the republic, Tatarstan Healthcare Minister Marat Sadykov said that the government of the republic has allocated 2.4bn roubles on implementation of the programme of the primary care setting modernization

He informed that it is planned to build 34 new facilities, to overhaul 15 and to purchase 17 vehicles. Part of the money will be used for facilities equipment modernization.

Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin, who also took part in the session, said that 7.5bn roubles will be allocated by various federal and regional programs and side events on construction and overhaul of healthcare facilities in Tatarstan.

In particular 29 medical and obstetric centres, two policlinics, two outpatient clinics and a general practitioners center will be built in 26 municipal regions of the republic by the federal project of the primary care setting modernization and two regional programmes of capital overhaul and construction of capital healthcare facilities, Ayzatullin said. As far as the construction materials and equipment are concerned, the contractors have already started to work with Russian manufacturers and producers from friendly countries, he added.

Marat Sadykov said: “The sanction war of 2022 against Russia did not have any impact on the cost of the expensive medical equipment, such as CTs, MR Angiographs and equipment for oncological centers. There are issues only related to the terms of supply because of the changes in logistics. We are discussing issues with Russia friendly countries such as Turkey, Kazakhstan, Armenia and others. We do not see any risks in 2022”.

The Head of Zelenodosk municipality Mikhail Afanasyev told the participants of the conference about work being done by the programme of the primary care setting modernization in his region.
