Tatarstan Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov: Situation at the food market of the republic is stable

On 10 June, speaking at a videoconference held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with all regions of the republic and with participation of the Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the regional Deputy Minister – Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov reported about measures taken to provide sustainable development of economy.

He said that the food stock in trade chains and distribution centers is enough to satisfy the demand for a week and the shop chains and municipalities inform there is no increased demand on consumer goods.

The population food supply is under the continuous control of the Operational Headquarters working group and the situation in the labour market has not changed substantially in the last week, Shagiakhmetov reported.

He reminded the heads of municipalities and the regional Labour Ministry that it is necessary to keep constant monitoring of the timely payments of social guarantees by enterprises.

Shagiakhmetov said that last week entrepreneurs of the republic submitted 270 applications for 4.8bn roubles  subsidies to be allocated by federal support measures, and 28 out 30 applications for the total sum of 15.1m roubles have been approved to be subsidized from the regional budget.
