According to Tatarstan President, effective technologies are adopted at OAO Tatneft oil fields in all production sectors.
In particular, OAO Tatneft was the first Russian oil company which faced the problem of effective production of tight oil, for example bitumen oil.

Thanks to scientists and OAO Tatneft specialists, oil production rate is increasing steadily.
Today, wells with oil flow rate less than 1 tons per day are effectively used for efficient oil-field development. Their annual oil production made 828 thousand tons.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov, effective development of carbonate basin resources, increase of tight oil production, development and implementation of new methods for oil recovery increase are priority areas for the company’s innovative development.
