More than 1.5 million tourists have visited the Kazan Kremlin for the last half a year

Speaking at a briefing in the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, the Deputy Chairperson of the State Tourism Committee Gulnara Safina has said that more than 1.5 million tourists have visited the Kazan Kremlin for the last half a year.

She said that compared to the last year there is from 15 to 52 per cent growth in the number of  more tourists at the main tourist sites of the republic and explained: “This is due to Corona limitations and the stable tourist attractiveness of the region. People come to us mostly from Moscow, St Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Nizhniy Novgorod and Samara and the average length of their stay increased from one-two to five days”.

 Gulnara Safina continued and said that due to charter flights from Moscow and St Petersburg about 6 thousand tourists have already visited Tatarstan and these programs will be working till September and restart in the end of December and January nest year.
