Ronald MacDonald House opened at Children’s Regional Clinical Hospital

On July 10 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Aide to Tatarstan President on Social Issues Tatyana Larionova, McDonalds President in Russia and Eastern Europe Khazmat Khasbulatov, Tatarstan Minister of Health Airat Farrakhov, Tatarstan Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Services Airat Shafigullin, Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin took part in the opening ceremony of the first Ronald MacDonald House in Russia at Children’s Regional Clinical Hospital.
In his welcoming speech Tatarstan President noted that construction of Ronald MacDonald House was a very successful project. “Children receiving medical treatment at Children’s Regional Clinical Hospital need parents’ care so much. I thank McDonalds Corporation for the project realisation,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Tatarstan President expressed his hope for further cooperation with McDonalds Corporation: “We are ready to help the company in implementation of new projects and ideas in Tatarstan.”
McDonalds President in Russia and Eastern Europe, in his turn, congratulated everybody present at the event on opening of the first Ronald MacDonald House in Russia. “Tatarstan has become a very attractive region for us. We have been working here for 12 years and are completely satisfied with implemented projects, which are very successful. Ronald MacDonald House is a very prosperous project,” Khazmat Khasbulatov noted.
McDonalds President in Russia and Eastern Europe said that 110 mln rubles were spent on construction and facilities of Ronald MacDonald House in Kazan.
After welcoming speeches the guests cut a symbolic ribbon to announce official opening of Ronald MacDonald House. Tatarstan President presented gifts to new visitors of the house.
A two-storey Ronald MacDonald House was built for a short period of time, for almost 11 months. The house is designed to provide accommodation for 24 families whose children receive medical treatment at Children’s Regional Clinical Hospital. About 600 families per year will be able to live there. All expenses will be covered by McDonalds.
There are living room, children’s playground, kitchen equipped with all necessary facilities, dining room, laundry, and 4 rooms for disabled people on the first floor of the house. Other rooms are situated on the second floor. There is also a playground and summer terrace for parents near the house.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic.
