On 23 September the Startups Experts Council, consisting of representatives of the venture market, investments funds and Innopolis, held on the sidelines of the Kazan Digital Week forum reviewed seven new IT projects.
Projects approved by the Experts Council are given the status of the resident of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of Innopolis that gives a number of advantages to companies, such as reduced taxes, access to co-working and educational practices from leading IT specialists, services from partners for the amount of 1m roubles, help in head hunting and other preferences.
The Council approved the CloudD startup which developed service for digitalization of agricultural products, the Lighthouse startup, which presented SaaS-service for market place providers, the Tenlab, that is a set of tool for developing unique no-code apps, the Use My Content project designed for providing jobs for bloggers and influencers and the Mobius project – the service using big data and AI for qualitative check of counteragents.
Giving his comments, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov said: “Innopolis consistently works to attract and support startups and youth teams. Thus today the republic has passed a law prolonging till 31 December 2025 the reduced tax rate from 5 to 1 per cent for IT-companies and entrepreneurs of Innopolis, using the simplified taxation system. We also work to ramp up interaction with institutes developing venture financing Thus quite recently we held a sailing race with venture investors and organized a meeting of Syndicate venture investors club. All this is aimed at strengthening Innopolis position in regional and common federal agenda in attracting startups”.
