On 18 November Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in the 37 session of the State Council of the republic which discussed 15 issues including four regional and three federal draft laws.
The members of the Council approved by majority of votes Tatarstan budget for 2023-2025 with the regional budget revenues estimated to make 343.9bn roubles with the deficit of 27.1bn next year.
The budget forecast for 2024 is 367.4bn roubles of revenues with the deficit of 27.2bn, while that for 2025 has been approved to be 366.9bn and the deficit of 27.3bn roubles. After the draft law is signed by Tatarstan President it will become a regional law.
The Council also considered a draft law about amendments to the regional laws on education (which envisages provision of free meals twice a day for disabled students), a draft law on assessment of regulatory impact of Tatarstan statutory acts and a draft of a tentative plan of the State Council legislative work in 2023.
The agenda of the session also included amendments into the decree of the State Council on the Youth Parliament, where, following the federal legislator, the members of the Council proposed to fix the increase of the age up to 35 years with the aim of taking into consideration changes introduced in Russian legislation and of using them when establishing next convocations of the Youth parliament.
