On 9 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government house of the republic, regional Minister of Agriculture Marat Zyabbarov informed that for the first time Tatarstan agricultural gross output – including all kinds of ownerships - has exceeded 300bn roubles, reaching 307.9bn compared to 248.8bn in 2021 and 264.3bn in 2020.
Revenues of agricultural organizations and small farms made 172.8bn roubles, which was by 29bn more than in 2021.
Marat Zyabbarov informed that in 2022 as much as 1.3bn roubles were allocated on subsidizing producers’ expenditures connected to sales of 1m tonnes of grain. However this amount was not sufficient to subsidize the remaining 514 000 tonnes and the ministry asked for additional 1bn 28m roubles of subsidies from the federal center, he said.
He also informed that the Ministry carried out large work in involving producers of the republic in participation in the purchasing interventions that resulted in purchases of 226 000 tonnes of grain into the intervention fund.
Marat Zyabbarov informed that 18.3bn roubles were allocated on development of the agribusiness in 2022, including 5.5bn from the federal and 10.8bn from regional budgets.
He also informed that the yield of grain was 5.16m tonnes, potatoes and vegetables – 1.1m, sugar beet – 1.8bn and oil-bearing plants – 620 000 tonnes.
Marat Zyabbarov told that last year agricultural organizations of the republic purchased 3 072 units of agricultural machinery and equipment for 12.1bn roubles and informed about work of agricultural fairs in cities of the republic held last year.
Tatarstan President remarked that it is necessary to pay attention to training specialists for agriculture and procurement of mineral fertilizers and gave an errand to continue supporting small farms. He also noted it is very important to continue organizing agricultural fairs for population.
