On 13 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in the resulting collegium of the regional State Committee for Tariffs, which discussed main results of the Committee work in 2022 and tasks for 2023.
The main key note speakers were the Chairman of the Committee Aleksandr Grunichev, the Chairman of the regional State Council Committee for Housing Policy and Infrastructure Development Aleksandr Tyguin and the Head of the Regional Tariff Service of Nizhniy Novgorod region Yulia Aleshina, the last one taking part in the meeting online.
In his concluding speech Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the most important task for executive power bodies of the republic is maintaining the pace and quality of the social and economic development of the republic especially under conditions of unprecedented sanctions pressure borne by the country. “Despite the difficult year the budget of the republic was stable and balanced and all social liabilities were fulfilled. Due to coordinated work of power bodies, business and population, Tatarstan preserved leading positions in main macroeconomic indicators”, he said.
“Participation in national projects is an additional driver for economic development and in 2022 the republic participated in 13 national and 49 regional projects, the implementation of which cost more than 43.7bn roubles”, Aleksey Pesoshin said and reminded that Tatarstan implemented 44 regional programmes of construction of social and utility facilities, including schools, housing yards, cultural and IT facilities and road construction.
He gave an errand to the Committee to continue work in decreasing tax arrears to the consolidated budget of the republic, which was 13.4bn roubles on December 1, 2022. Reminding about tariffs indexation held in the whole of the country twice – on 1 July and I December 2022, |Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Government of the republic introduces social and economic tools for supporting the population.
He also attracted special attention of regional operators and managing companies to solving the problem of waste management, concerning both its cost and quality and asked the Construction Ministry to step up monitoring in this sphere.
Expressing his gratitude to the State Committee for Tariffs for their work, Aleksey Pesoshin added that in the current year all Committee’s activities should keep focusing on increasing quality of its services.
In conclusion of the meeting the most outstanding employees of the Committee were handed in state awards of the republic and the Deputy Head of the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service Vitaliy Korolev handed in the Chairman of the Committee Aleksandr Grunichev a medal from the Federal Antimonopoly Service.
