Rustam Minnikhanov launches regional campaign “Help to prepare for school” in Zelenodolsk

On August 2 Rustam Minnikanov took part in launching of the regional charity campaign “Help to prepare for school!” in Zelenodolsk.
The regional campaign “Help to prepare for school!” aims to assist children from deprived families in preparing for school and purchasing necessary school kits.
For 6 years of the campaign realization more than 105 thousand first formers received charity support in the amount of 78 mln rubles.
Last year more than 17.5 mln rubles were obtained and more than 20 thousand first formers and 9.5 thousand pupils from second-eleven forms received support under the campaign.
This year there more than 36 thousand children will go to school. More than 6 thousand children need support.
As usual, special attention will be given to children from low-income families, foster families, children of unemployed parents and those suffering hardships, disabled children, first-formers whose parents are disabled, children from large families and living with guardians.
Welcoming the guests in the Culture Center “Rodina” that opened today after reconstruction, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov noted: “ “Help to prepare for school” is the most generous campaign and today we are launching it for the 7th time.
Every child goes to school and it is important that there is no discrimination because not all parents can afford to buy necessary school accessories for their children.”
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked those who participated in the campaign and wished the first formers every success at school.
Later Tatarstan President and honoured guests, including Head of the Executive Committee of Zelenodolsk municipal district presented rucksacks to pupils.
Tatarstan President presented the keys from “Lada-Largus” car to a large family with 9 children, 7 of which are adopted.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
On 31 March in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva hold a meeting of the Commission on the Russian language under the Rais of Tatarstan, which considered key issues of supporting and developing Russian language, including new educational initiatives and discussed programmes of popularization of Russian literature and activities to preserve the language heritage.
On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Azat Ziganshin informed that the regional central cleaning up action will be held in the republic on 25 April and clarified that the location of the national cleanup day will be announced later as the site will be chosen taking into account the opinions of Tatarstan residents.
On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional and the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Damir Shaydullin informed about statistics on the collection of utility bills payments from the population and data on the payment discipline of enterprises and organizations of the republic.
