On 12 March Tatarstan First Deputy Prime Minister Rustam Nigmatullin took part in sports fest dedicated to the opening of a skiing and biathlon complex “Mirnyy” in Kazan, which satisfies all world standards and its infrastructure enables holding large international competitions.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Rustam Nigmatullin said that with more than 37 thousand people doing it, skiing traditionally is one of the most popular kinds of leisure time of residents of the republic.
“The skiing and biathlon complex has been designed and built not just for professional athletes but also for those who like active and healthy life style. I am sure that due to this complex we are taking a step forward to achieve our main goal – the health of people and systematic physical training and sports activities”, he said.
