RT Prime Minister took part in the meeting with Organizing Committee of Worldwide Summer Universiade – 2013

Members of Organizing Committee of XXVII Worldwide Summer Universiade – 2013 arrived in Kazan. Delegation consists of the officials of RF Ministry of economic development, RF Ministry of Sport, Tourism and Youth policy, RF Ministry of regional development, RF Ministry of internal affairs, Federal Education Agency.
Delegation observed sport objects that are being prepared for Summer Universiade – 2013 - track and field manege, central stadium, new stadium in Shosseinaya st., R.Petrov Ice Palace, “Tasma” stadium, territory of new railway station, Ice Palace “Tatneft Arena”, Palace of martial arts, Stadium “Trudovye reservy”, international equestrian-sport complex “Kazan”, center of field hockey.
Moreover, the working meeting of the Members of Organizing Committee of XXVII Worldwide Summer Universiade – 2013 was held in Kazan town hall. RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov, Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin, Minister of Youth, Sport and Tourism Marat Bariev, Head of Kazan executive committee Rafis Burganov, Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Marat Khusnullin and others took part in the meeting.
Rustam Minnikhanov said that it’s necessary to solve such serious problems with sport objects, hotels for guests, transport infrastructure before holding Universiade – 2013.
According to Mayor’s words it’s planned to use 64 sport objects, 28 are ready. Also the future sport objects were presented to the Members of Organizing Committee.
Rafis Burganov presented the project of transport relief. He also underlined the importance of underground construction.
On 9 June upon his arrival to the Kazan International Airport, the Russian Minister for Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov was welcomed by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin.
In Kazan Sergey Lavrov will take part in a meeting of the Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of State-Participants of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
On 5 May, speaking at a regular meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that currently 63 school catering units are under repairs with the amount of work completed reaching 15 per cent.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
