Ildar Khalikov holds a meeting on preparation for KazanSummit 2013

On August 21 Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov chaired a meeting on preparation for V International economic summit of Russia and OIC countries Kazan Summit 2013 at Tatarstan Government House.
To the point, KazanSummit has been held annually in Tatarstan capital since 2009. This year the summit will be held on October 2-3 in Kazan.
Ildar Khalikov noted that the summit has been held with the support of the Russian Federal Council since 2013 and gained federal and international recognition.
Head of Tatarstan Investment development agency (TIDA) Linar Yakupov told in details about preparation for the event. Besides traditional strategic and investment forums, conferences on Islamic economics and finances and meetings of members of parliament, this year’s programme of KazanSummit 2013 will include new events. Business forum on trade relations of Russia and OIC countries and “round table” on food safety are among them.
The ceremony of laying of the stone of the first object of a new investment platform in Tatarstan – Smart City Kazan will be held before KazanSummit 2013 (October 1, 2013).
A forum on “Smart cities” will be held within the framework of KazanSummit 2013 to discuss international experience of implementing such projects.
KazanSummit 2013 will be held in the International information center in Kazan.
Business lunch with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, “round table” on key role of personnel departments, and Kazan Summit Cup horse races are in the summit programme.
Representatives of Tatarstan ministries and departments, Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kazan International airport and Tatarstan customs, representative of Russian Federation Council Andrey Baklanov took part in the meeting.

On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
