Rustam Minnikhanov: “We have positive dynamics of Tatarstan educational system development”

On August 22 at a traditional meeting of educational and scientific workers Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov noted positive dynamics of Tatarstan educational system development.

To the point, the regional meeting of educational and scientific workers “Modern technologies in educational practice” was held in Arsk this year.

Rustam Minnikhanov said that the topic of the meeting is very urgent because application of modern technologies is the key factor for improving efficiency and competitiveness of the educational system.

According to Rustam Minnikhanov, material facilities for education have been significantly improved due to implementation of large federal and regional projects.

He reminded that Education development strategy “Kilechek” is currently under implementation, the federal part of funding for 2013 makes more than 700 mln roubles within the framework of the general education modernization. Besides, for the last two years 2.5 bln roubles were allocated for capital repair of schools annually. More than 2.2 bln roubles were allocated for construction of kindergartens.

Tatarstan President pointed out the salary increase of school and kindergarten teachers. In the first half of 2013 the average salary of school teachers increased by 60% compared to the last year.  The average salary of kindergarten teachers went up by 72% compared to 2012.

Rustam Minnikhanov also noted that Tatarstan is actively adopting advanced international experience in the sphere of education.
