Rustam Minnikhanov: “Tatarstan is always open for cooperation and ready to share its experience with other regions”

On August 25 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a welcome reception on behalf of Governor of the Volgograd region Sergei Bozhenov during his two-day working trip to Volgograd (August 25-26, 2013).
“Tatarstan is always open for cooperation and ready to share its experience with other regions,” Rustam Minnikhanov said at the event.
Tatarstan President noted the significance of the historical and memorial complex “The Battle of Stalingrad” at Mamayev Kurgan. “Our country should have such places, where every Russian can come and pay the tribute to the memory of soldiers and war heroes who fought and died here to protect our country. The Battle of Stalingrad is one the most heroic battles in the history of the Great Patriotic War and it should not be forgotten,” Rustam Minnikhanov continued.
“Volgograd is a highly developed city with significant resources and I am sure that the full potential of Volgograd region has not been yet unveiled,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Sergei Bozhenov thanked Tatarstan leadership for sharing the experience in various sectors of economy with regions. According to Sergei Bozhenov, Tatarstan has achieved a major breakthrough in economy, industry, and social sphere due to the regional leadership.
Governor of Volgograd region invited Rustam Minnikhanov to make a return visit to Volgograd region when the delegation of Volgograd region was in Tatarstan Republic with a working trip in January 2013.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
