On August 26 at their meeting at Tatarstan Government House Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Head of Fielding and Nair International Jay Litman discussed the project of international school establishment in a cottage township “Yasnaya polyana”.
The presentation of the school project was made during the meeting. According to project developers, the school will be the first in the region that will meet all the requirements of an international educational institution. Foreign teachers will give classes in the English language both for local and international students using special educational programmes.
The project is developed by Fielding and Nair International which implemented more than 100 similar projects in more than 40 countries. The company’s Head Lay Litman told about advanced educational techniques applied at schools and design concept features of the future school.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov appreciated the project. “Your approaches are very interesting, teaching methods are creative. The same methods and approaches are used by our Singapore colleagues, with whom we are now working on modernization of our school education,” Rustam Minnikhanov noted addressing Jay Litman.
“The school will be in high demand in the region. Many foreign businessmen, athletes come to Kazan. They need school for their children. This school will be interesting for investors and scientific communities,” Tatarstan President said.
Rustam Minnikhanov asked Tatarstan Minister of Education and Science to render assistance in obtaining all necessary documents. “I think, this school is a priority project for the city and the region,” Tatarstan President said.
“We hope to continue cooperating on further new projects with your company. We are now building the new city “Innopolis” and we also will need the advanced school there,” Rustam Minnikhanov said addressing Lay Litman at the end of the meeting.
Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin, Tatarstan Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov and other officials took part in the meeting.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
