Rustam Minnikhanov addresses Tatarstan citizens on the occasion of the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan

Dear citizens of Tatarstan! The Day of the Republic visually reflects the modern stage of formation of our statehood, emphasizes major breakthroughs in economic and social spheres, striking changes in social development of Tatarstan Republic, new level and lifestyle of its citizens.
The 27th World Summer Universiade that was held in Kazan gives a special flavour to this year’s holiday. The gained experience and diversified heritage of the Universiade can and must be used for implementation of new large Russian and international projects in the region.
The construction of new high-speed road, that will be the newest traffic artery of the Russian Federation, establishment of SMART city Kazan and Innopolis, the center of advanced sciences and technologies, model of city infrastructure and city culture of the 21st century are of particular importance.
The oil industry is running stably, the petrochemical industry is developing. Our automakers have achieved much success. The housing construction is underway.
We believe that the future of Tatarstan economy is in modernization of existing and development of new knowledge-intensive businesses, increase of labour efficiency.
New business patterns in agricultural sector play a major role. Support of personal farmsteads, family farms, and formation of large sites for selling agricultural products contribute to positive changes in the rural area.
Economic changes favour social changes. Today, the social sphere includes not only providing minimum income, as it was recently, but new quality of life due to modern education and high technology health services.
The importance of culture is growing. We aspire to revival of spiritual values, reconstruction of cultural heritage objects. The role of the civil society is increasing. Every citizen of the republic contributes to the development of native Tatarstan.
We celebrate the Day of the Republic a few days after the Day of the national flag of Russia. This reminds us about inseparable unity of our federal multinational state.
Dear friends! From the bottom of my heart I congratulate you on the national holiday of Tatarstan – the Republic Day! I wish you good health, well-being and constructive energy for the welfare of our republic and country!

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
