Republic program “The usage of space activity results in the interests of social and economic development of Tatarstan for 2008-2010” will be approved during a week

The program was discussed at the meeting in RT Cabinet with participation of R.N.Minnikhanov, RT Prime Minister, A. Perminov, Head of federal Space Agency (Roskosmos), V.Aleksandrov, Deputy Head of Federal Agency of geodesy and cartography.
The program budget will make 590 million RUR. It will be financed from federal and republic budgets. Funds from federal budget will be allocated when the federal target program “The usage of space activity results in the interests of social and economic development of Russia and its regions for 2010-2015” is approved.
Shamil Gafarov, Head of RT Cabinet reported about the usage of space activity results for social and economic development in the region.
Myazgyum Salakhov, rector of Kazan State University told about the usage of scientific potential of republic for further development of space technologies. More than 60 doctors and candidates of science work in this university in the spheres connected with the space activity results usage in national economy. 20 projects were realized in 2007 in this sphere, in 2008-more than 40.
On 9 June upon his arrival to the Kazan International Airport, the Russian Minister for Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov was welcomed by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin.
In Kazan Sergey Lavrov will take part in a meeting of the Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of State-Participants of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
On 5 May, speaking at a regular meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that currently 63 school catering units are under repairs with the amount of work completed reaching 15 per cent.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
