Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrives in Singapore to take part in the 8th Russia Singapore Business Forum

On September 23 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived in Singapore to take part in the 8th Russia Singapore Business Forum.
To the point, the Russia Singapore Business Forum was organized in 2006 and became the only high level event in Asia for business representatives from Russia, CIS countries, Singapore and other Asian countries. The forum’s main goal is to foster business contacts, discuss new possibilities, and latest economic tendencies in Russia and Asian region.
It is expected that 800 participants, including representatives from the most dynamic Russian and Singaporean business segments, will attend the four-day Forum 2013 (September 23-26), that takes place at Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
It is planned that on September 24 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov will take part in a special event of the Russia Singapore Forum “Investing and doing business in Tatarstan” and deliver special speech on the topic “Tatarstan – Singapore experience”.
Deputy Prime-Minister – Tatarstan Minister of Information and Communication Roman Shaikhutdinov, Chief Executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov, Aide to Tatarstan President Airat Khairullin, Board Chairman of OAO Ak Bars Bank Robert Minnegaliev, Director General of Innopolis Special Economic Zone Igor Nosov, Director of State Autonomous Institution “High Technology Park “IT-park” Anton Grachev and other officials are on the Tatarstan delegation.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
