Major repair starts in 330 multi-apartment houses in 35 municipalities of Tatarstan

On April 6, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin via video conference with all regions of the republic, Tatarstan Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported that 10 kindergartens and 21 schools are being overhauled and 8 school canteens renovated under the programme of major repair of social and cultural facilities in Tatarstan.

Tatarstan Minister of Construction said that the education sector is undergoing the most extensive work, both in finances and in the number of facilities.

At the end of April, contracts for major repair will be concluded for four kindergartens and one school; in May, four kindergartens, six schools and one dormitory will be contracted.

Ayzatullin said that today the completion of work on all 4 resource centers under the 2024 programme makes 25 per cent and for 9 hostels the completion achieved 14 per cent.

The second major industry is healthcare. The contracts for capital repair on 5 of 137 facilities remained to be concluded, three of which will be contracted by the end of April and two of them in May.

The implementation of the capital repair programme of polyclinics makes 17 per cent. The work is carried out at 20 facilities.

In the cultural sector, half of 24 facilities have been contracted. It remains to conclude contracts for 11 rural cultural centers and one library.

During the meeting, the minister focused on construction work and major repairs of other social facilities. Thus, in the youth sector, 27 facilities will be overhauled under the federal and regional programmes in 2024.

Major repair programmes are also being implemented through the regional ministries – Tatarstan Ministry of Social Labor, the Ministry of Forestry, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Sports.

Ayzatullin also reported on the major repair programme of multi-apartment houses. To date, contracts have been concluded for 653 houses. Work has started in 330 multi-apartment huses in 35 municipalities. Construction and installation works makes 11 per cent, seasonal types of work – 5 per cent.

Tatarstan Minister of Constructon concluded report by speaking about online voting on the selection of public spaces to be upgraded in 2025. Voting started on March 15 and will last until April 30. A total of 205,724 people voted in the republic.
