Rustam Minnikhanov holds special meeting of Tatarstan Security Council

On October 14 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a special meeting of Tatarstan Security Council on results of housing and communal sector for autumn and winter period 2013/2014, and observance of legislation in terms of sanitary and epidemiological wellbeing of population at children’s stationary social institutions.
Opening the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov said that housing and communal sector is one of the spheres widely criticized by the public. He noted that people are often not satisfied with quality of rendered services, unprofessional management and tariff policy.
In general, executive authorities and organisations of housing and communal sector coped with the tasks on preparation for autumn and winter period. However, heating season did not start in time in some regions. Providing social objects with main communal services is a priority task, Rustam Minnikhanov pointed out.
The reason for discussing the second issue on the agenda was the outbreak of acute enteric infection at Derbyshki boarding school for mentally retarded children. 34 children were admitted to the hospital from September 25 to October 6. 26 children suffered dysentery. During the inspection carried out at the boarding school, violations that caused spread of the infection were revealed in the sphere of sanitary and epidemiological wellbeing of population.
Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that children’s social institutions should be under special control, and proper maintenance and facilities must be provided there. He suggested involving deputies, members of the Public Chamber, and benefactors in solving such a serious problem.
State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Chairman of State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Chairman of Security Council Valery Vlasov, members of Security Council, heads of municipalities, regional ministries and agencies, control and supervision bodies, energy and housing-communal objects, and children's social institutions took part in the session.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
