Aleksey Pesoshin: Our history demonstrates – unity of people has always been and is a reliable foundation of progressive development

On 4 November speaking in the beginning of a gala-concert of the Regional Ethnic and Cultural Festival “Out Home Tatarstan” held at the Tatarstan Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre in Kazan, the Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated the audience with the National Unity Day and said that the history of citizens –in-arms, due to which the Time of Troubles was completed in Russia in the 17th century, is a bright example of what Russians can do by uniting for the sake of a common goal.

“Today in the zone of the special military operation, the brotherhood-in-arms of representatives of various nationalities and religions once again has risen against the external threat.  Natives of Tatarstan honorably demonstrate numerous cases of courage and bravery. Support of soldiers and help to their families has become the case of the whole community of the republic. Our history demonstrates that the unity of people has always been and is a reliable foundation of progressive development and we are strong when we act together,” the head of the regional government said. 

He stated that preservation of peace and concord and the development of languages, cultures and a tradition of people have always been the most important priority and is the focus of implementation of state programmes of the republic and the development of a network of national and cultural organizations.

Having mentioned work done by the Assembly of People of Tatarstan and the regional Muslims Spiritual Board, Aleksey Pesoshin added that it has become a good tradition to hold the gala-concert of the Ethnic and Cultural Festival “Out Home Tatarstan” in the National Unity Day. 

In conclusion the regional Prime Minister handed in a number of state awards for the special contribution into strengthening of inter-ethnic peace and concord in Tatarstan.
