Aleksey Pesoshin takes part in a ceremony of handing in Tatarstan legal award “The Lawyer of the Year” 2024 and the All-Russia legal awards after G. Shershenevich

On 2 December Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a solemn event dedicated to handing in the Tatarstan legal award “The Lawyer of the Year” 2024 and the All-Russia legal awards after G. Shershenevich held at Kazan Federal University.

Welcoming participants of the event Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated all lawyers with their professional holiday and stressed that the republic has a well-established professional and consolidate legal community, which makes a substantial contribution into strengthening the foundations of statehood, ensuring law and order and legal education of residents of the republic.

He reminded that in the current year Kazan once again became the center of important international events such as the third Kazan International Lawyers Forum held with participation of more than 800 people from 27 cities of Russia and abroad.

The Prime-Minister of the republic stressed the special meaning of Kazan Federal University in training qualified lawyers working in all spheres. “Kazan Law School is rightly considered as one of the strongest in the country,” he said.

In conclusion Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated old stagers of the law sphere, wished everyone fruitful work, success and good health and handed in deserved awards.

The Chairman of the Tatarstan branch of the Russia Association of Lawyers Ildar Kalikov reminded that the Day of the Lawyer was established by a decree from the Russian President in 2008 and is celebrated on 3 December every year. “It is old stagers of the sphere who created today’s legal school of the republic. And lawyers keep giving their knowledge to serve their republic and the whole of the country, continuing traditions of this school,” he stated.
