Rustam Minnikhanov, RT Prime Minister offered to assign 30 grants for development of Peoples’ Artistic Works

Republic target program of preservation, revival, research and development of Peoples’ Artistic Works in Tatarstan for 2009-2011 was discussed at the session of RT Cabinet Presidium “Preservation and development of Peoples’ Artistic Works in Tatarstan”.

The program was presented by Zilya Valeeva, RT Minister of Culture. She considers that today we need program-target approach and state support. She also informed that such programs are being realized in Chuvash Republic (154 million RUR), Nizhny Novgorod region (542 million RUR), Tula region (more than 100 million RUR). Upon the whole, 10 subjects in Russia have their own target programs.

The development and preservation of Peoples’ traditions in masters’ production are in competence of Elabuga municipal district. Yearly the fairs of Peoples’ Works are held their.
Zilya Valeeva pointed out separately the work of Artistic-expert Council.

RT Minister of Culture considers that in order to attract tourists it’s necessary to restore ethnographic collections and allocate money for reconstruction.
Rustam Minnikhanov announced that the program may help to preserve customs and traditions of Tatar people. Nowadays Kazan and republic are well-known in the world. RT Prime Minister offered to assign 30 grants for artistic workshops to provide state support of Peoples’ Artistic Works.

Nuri Mustafaev, General Director of Peoples’ Artistic Works Development Center also reported on current situation.

While preparing for Universiade-2013 it’s necessary to introduce the brands of traditional culture of Tatarstan peoples except for development of sport and tourism infrastructure.
