Rustam Minnikhanov holds a meeting on implementation of the projects HC “Composite” at SEZ “Alabuga”

On November 13 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov hold a meeting on implementation of the projects HC “Composite” at SEZ “Alabuga”.

Director General of HC “Composite” Leonid Melamed made a report on issues of creation of the cluster for production of composite materials and products at SEZ “Alabuga”. In particular, he reported on the status of construction of the plant OOO “Alabuga-Volokno” at SEZ “Alabuga”.

To the point, having the residence status at the special economic zone, HC “Composite” is building a state-of-the-art industrial plant for manufacturing of various tow carbon fibers. The plant is expected to become the largest one in Russia and the CIS countries. One of the main objectives of the project is to reach competitive quality and production prime costs and provide wide application of carbon fibers in the Russian market.

The participants of the meeting discussed in details issues on provision of housing for workers of the plant, heat and electricity rates, etc.

Besides, prospects of creation of new enterprises of the cluster at SEZ “Alabuga” were also discussed at the meeting.

Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Olge Saveliev took part in the meeting.
