A mourning meeting in connection with tragic death of Head of Tatarstan Department of Federal Security Service Aleksandr Antonov in the plane crash on November 17. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Chairman of State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, heads of regional ministries and agencies, employees of Tatarstan Department of Federal Security Service took part in the farewell ceremony.
Aleksandr Antonov worked in state security service for 29 years. He started working in 1984, and moved up through all steps of the promotional ladder. In 2009 Aleksandr Antonov headed Department of Federal Security Service in Komi Republic, and since June 22, 2011 - Tatarstan Department of Federal Security Service.
Tatarstan Department of Federal Security Service ensured safety during summer Universiade 2013 under his guidance, carried out anti-extremism investigation and operative work. Moreover, the Department was provided with the latest equipment that improved work of special service agents.
Head of Control service of Russian Federal Security Service Vladimir Kryuchkov, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of the interior Artem Khokhorin, Chairman of Veterans Council of Tatarstan Department of Federal Security Service Amir Gumanov, First Deputy Head of the Department Dinar Khamitov addressed words of gratitude to Lieutenant-General Antonov, and expressed condolences to relatives of Aleksandr Antonov.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
