On 10 October Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Member of the State Council of the republic Danis Zaripov and the regional Minister of Sports Vladimir Leonov took part in a ceremony of handing over sports equipment and inventory to sports hockey teams held in the Sport Palace in Kazan.
Speaking at the ceremony, Aleksey Pesoshin noted that the republic is famous for and proud of its hockey traditions and achievements. The Government of the republic attaches special attention to the development of youth sports and in the last five years the amount of investments into this sphere made more than 20bn rubles.
Today by an initiative of Danis Zaripov and the support from the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov young hockey players have been given 2 038 hockey kits.
The Prime Minister of the republic said he is sure that the quality kits are the key for safety and one of the factors of professional growth of young talents and wished all athletes bright victories and their fans – good mood.
In his turn Danis Zaripov also thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for the attention he is giving to sports,
The ceremony ended with a play of the Senior Hockey League Championship between Bars (Kazan) and Toros (Neftekamsk) teams.
