On December 25 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held video conference reception of citizens at the Russian President’s office in Tatarstan.
By and large, all citizens’ requests were about children’s pre-school educational facilities.
In particular, a young mother from Naberezhnye Chelny asked about opening of a kindergarten in the 25th housing area. She said that the facility of a former kindergarten, which was sold to entrepreneurs in the nineties and is now in commercial service, could be used for this purpose. Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny Vasil Shaikhraziev reported that preliminary negotiations with the building owner have been conducted. Funds are required to buy the facility back and put it into proper condition.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov gave a task to allocate funds for these purposes and said that the facility must be commissioned by July, 2014.
A family from Zelenodolsk disctrict, Nizhnie Vyazovye township, thanked regional leadership for repair of kindergarten “Topolek” and asked about learning of Tatarstan state languages in kindergartens. Rustam Minnikhanov agreed with parents that modern children must begin learning Russian, Tatar as well as English languages in kindergarten.
Tatarstan Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov said through videoconferencing that the issue related to learning Tatarstan state languages in kindergartens is being implemented under programme “Kilechek”.
A protocol of Tatarstan President’s tasks will be drawn up following the results of the reception.
