Rustam Minnikhanov gives assignment to develop Tatmedia development strategy

On January 14 at a summary session of Regional press and mass media agency Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that media agencies should give true and latest information to population. He noted that Tatarstan leadership had always put much emphasis on mass media industry.
Rustam Minnikhanov highly estimated work of Regional press and mass media agency and OAO “Tatmedia” during Universiade 2013. Tatarstan President also said that work of printing and publishing complex “Idel-Press” on finding new businesses should be more efficient.
Rustam Minnikhanov also focused on the meaning of social media that plays an important role and is a powerful information resource.
Speaking about lack of employees who can speak Tatar, Rustam Minnikhanov said that the Union of journalists should take responsibility for dealing with this problem.
Tatarstan President was not satisfied with the fact that journalists do not tell enough about positive events happening in the republic, and projects being implemented.
Speaking about tasks for 2014, Tatarstan President reminded about elections for the State Council, noting that people should learn more about candidates.
Moreover, Rustam Minnikhanov believes that it is important to find efficient methods of counteracting extremism and terrorism.
Summing up, Tatarstan President said that Tatmedia should have its own development strategy, and gave assignment to work out a long-term programme.
Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Office Asgat Safarov, Deputy Prime Minister Yury Kamaltynov, Deputy Chairman of State Council, Chairman of the Union of journalists Rimma Ratnikova took part in the event. Head of Regional press and mass media agency Irek Minnakhmetov made a keynote report at the session.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
