Rustam Minnikhanov notes efficient work of culture industry in 2013

On January 27 at an extended session of Tatarstan Ministry of Culture Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov noted efficient work of culture industry in 2013. Now we have to focus on the industry development, he said.
Reporting on results of work in 2013, Tatarstan Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin said that there were three times as many venues, where conservation and restoration works were carried out. 29 museums were connected to the Complex automated museum information system.
Airat Sibagatullin addressed Ministry of Construction with request to support in developing a detailed plan of capital repair of culture venues, in particular, G.Tukai museum, Kazan and Kariev youth theatres, and National museum depository.
Deputy Prime Minister, Presidential Envoy in Russia Ravil Akhmetshin told about activity on promotion of Tatar culture and satisfaction of spiritual needs of Tatar people living abroad.
Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that 2014 was announced the Year of Culture, thus important tasks are to be realized by the industry employees. He also added that a State programme on culture development of the Republic of Tatarstan in 2014-2020 was accepted.
Culture Universiade in Kazan demonstrated social importance of culture, Tatarstan President noted.
According to decision of the International Organization of Turkic Culture, Kazan is the capital of Turkic world this year. It is recognition of Tatarstan achievements and huge responsibility, Rustam Minnikhanov said. Speaking about problems, Rustam Minnikhanov mentioned low salaries of the industry employees.
Rustam Minnikhanov also called for developing private-state partnership and attracting private investments.
Speaking about tourism, Rustam Minnikhanov said that Bolgar and Sviyazhsk totally changed and now it is important to attract tourists and think about 24-hour operation of the objects. It is also planned to open an independent agency responsible for tourism in Tatarstan.
Rustam Minnikhanov also dwelt on revival of literature, theatre, musical and cinema review school, and copyright protection.
Summing up, Tatarstan President said that work on maintaining traditions of regional peoples, and holding national holidays will be continued in the republic.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
