Rustam Minnikhanov meets with representatives of Tatarstan in Russian Federation Council and State Duma of Federal Assembly

On January 30 at his meeting with representatives of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation Council and State Duma of the Federal Assembly Rustam Minnikhanov stated that a powerful corps of members represents Tatarstan Republic in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly and it is neccesary to take advatange of this opportunity.
Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Office Asgat Safarov, regional ministries and heads of some organizations took part in the meeting.
Farid Mukhametshin said that at today’s traditional meeting it is necessary to summarize results of the work of Tatarstan representatives in the State Duma in 2013 and set tasks for this year.
Tatartsan Ministry of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov made a keynote report. In particular, he reminded that the amount of the obtained federal funds from all resources made 75.8 bln rubles (72.4 bln rubles in 2012). He mentioned that 27.0 bln rubles were raised in the region under federal target and state programmes.
Commenting on the situation, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the region needs new strategic projects to take part in federal target investment programmes. He pointed out a number of topical issues that should be dealt with at the legislative level. Among such issues he mentioned reformation of housing and municipal economy sector, rates of utility services, provision of measures to improve traffic safety, organization of activities of local police officers to work with citizens at the local level, etc.
Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that the work on return of funds spent by the region to create the infrastructure for industrial platforms must be also carried out.

On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
