Rustam Minnikhanov holds session of Economic Council on increasing efficiency of Agro-industrial complex

On January 31 at a session of Economic Council under RT Cabinet of Ministers on increasing efficiency of Agro-industrial complex Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that for five years budget support in Tatarstan made more than 100 bln rubles.
Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov, heads of regional ministries and agencies, employees of banks, Academy of Sciences, and top managers of agricultural and industrial enterprises took part in the session.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov, for the last 8 years more than 9 thousand families in rural areas received subsidies for improvement of living conditions. He also mentioned construction of medical and obstetric centres and hard-surface roads in rural areas, programme “Pure water”, capital repair of schools, and Leasing-Grant programme aimed at supporting agricultural producers.
Rustam Minnikhanov continued that 122 thousand loans were granted to private farmsteads in 2006-2013.
However, agricultural and industrial enterprises are facing a difficult situation because of climate conditions and inefficient business operations.
Rustam Minnikhanov also reminded that the programme on renewal of agricultural machinery and modernization is implemented in the republic.
Tatarstan President also focused on the problem with staffing support in rural areas.
Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov made a keynote report on the session.
On March 10, the third meeting of the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the 20th anniversary Russian Venture Forum 2026 to be held in Kazan from April 8 to 10, chaired by Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov and with participation of Tatarstan Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and co-chair of the forum’s organizing committee Aleksey Pesoshin, President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov, Director of the Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan Damir Galiev as well as representatives of federal and regional authorities, development institutions and partner organizations via videoconference, took place.
On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
