Rustam Minnikhanov: "Armed Forces have always been the pillar of power and stability of the Russian state"

On February 22 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, heads of ministries and agencies, military personnel, veterans and their families, representatives of public organisations took part in solemn event dated to Defender of the Fatherland Day at Volga Academy of Physical Culture and Sport in Kazan.
Before the event guests looked around the exhibition of historical ammunition of Great Patriotic War and modern times organized by public search organisations, military halls of fame and regional enterprises.
Commander of Kazan garrison Valery Mironchenko congratulated everyone on the holiday.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov addressed military personnel and veterans:
“On February 23 we always honour representatives of all generations of defenders, those who serve in Armed Forces, who are devoted to their country, who defend our state and society. Armed Forces have always been the pillar of power and stability of Russian state. We know many examples of selfless service to Motherland, the most heroic deeds are connected with Great Patriotic War,” Tatarstan President said. He expressed special gratitude to veterans.
“Battle-ready armed forces guaranteed national safety. Russian leadership tries to take appropriate steps on strengthening combat readiness of Armed Forces, provide modern ammunition and equipment,” Rustam Minnikhanov continued.
Tatarstan President thanked for organisation of the exhibition dated to the festive event.
“Dear soldiers of the army and fleet, dear veterans! Let me congratulate you and your families on the holiday. I wish you strong health, optimism, wellbeing and all the best. Thank you for your devotion to the Motherland, oath and military duty, and your hard service!” Rustam Minnikhanov summarized.
On March 10, the third meeting of the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the 20th anniversary Russian Venture Forum 2026 to be held in Kazan from April 8 to 10, chaired by Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov and with participation of Tatarstan Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and co-chair of the forum’s organizing committee Aleksey Pesoshin, President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov, Director of the Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan Damir Galiev as well as representatives of federal and regional authorities, development institutions and partner organizations via videoconference, took place.
On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
