Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in special session of Supreme Council of the Republic of Crimea

On March 11 during his working trip to the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a special session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Crimea.
Delivering his speech, Rustam Minnikhanov expressed hope that Crimean Tatars would support the referendum that is supposed to determine the future of Crimean peninsula.
To the point, 1250 voting precincts will open on March 16. Many international observers, including experts from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe will be present at voting procedures.
According to Chairman of Crimean Council of Ministers Sergey Aksenov, the referendum process will be open to the public.
At today’s special session of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea deputies accepted the Declaration of independence required for legal implementation of inclusion of Crimea to Russia and holding the referendum.
Deputies also accepted several decisions to support Crimean Tatars, their language and culture, development of pre-school, primary and higher education. The Crimean Parliament also secured equal rights of religious confessions in Crimea.
“We have learnt to live in our common home – Crimea. We understand problems of each other, but we have to take important steps towards mutual understanding and trust. And today we have such an opportunity to build inter-ethnic peaceful and harmonious society,” Chairman of the Supreme Council Vladimir Konstantinov said.
He also thanked Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov for his mediatory efforts. “We always considered Tatarstan to be our fraternal republic, and now it can help to guarantee peace and stability in Crimea,” Vladimir Konstantinov added.

On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.

On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
