Rustam Minnikhanov presents awards to Tatarstan sportsmen – members of Russian Paralympic team

On March 24 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov presented state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan to Tatarstan sportsmen – members of Russian Paralympic team at Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. The event dated to successful performance of sportsmen at XI Paralympic Games in Sochi 2014 was held at the Kazan Kremlin.
Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed the athletes and congratulated them on great success. He reminded that Russian team won 80 medals at Paralympic Games showing best result in history of Paralympic games. “We did not have such victories earlier, and Tatarstan athletes made their contribution and showed great results. Your desire for victory and team spirit deserve respect. We are proud of you! Due to your hard work, once again Tatarstan asserted itself at XI Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Tatarstan President thanked coaches, managers and employees of Tatarstan Ministry of Sport.
He also told about plans to create children’s sports school to help disabled people take sports.
Secretary General of the Olympic Committee Marat Bariev said that they are still receiving reviews from international sports federations saying that Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Sochi were the best in terms of organisation.

On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
