Head of RT Government Rustam Minnikhanov: « Experience of Ireland in the field of business stimulation, innovative and investment activity is interesting for us »

March 4, Prime Minister of Republic Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov made a report at the Russian-Irish business-forum taking place in the capital of Ireland, Dublin.
Head of the RT government told the participants of a forum about republic as one of the most economically steady and developing regions of the Russian Federation located in the center of the European part of Russia.

Rustam Minnikhanov, in particular, informed that mid-annual rates of economic growth of Tatarstan for last five years have exceeded 7,5 %, even in a difficult 2008, a year of the beginning of a world economic crisis - rates of growth were over 7 %.

The structure of economy of Tatarstan is rather close to structure of the economy of Russia as a whole, Rustam Minnikhanov noted. The main clusters providing its competition and owing to which our republic is well known, are the following: oil extracting, oil refining and petrochemistry, mechanical engineering, power engineering and agriculture.

According to Rustam Minnikhanov, Republic of Tatarstan and Ireland have much in common - so, we are close by population number and territory, rich history and original business culture.

Prime Minister of Tatarstan considers that in the field of innovations and high technologies these might be implementation of joint educational programs, projects and investments. More in detail Rustam Minnikhanov dealt with preparation for holding Universiada 2013 in Kazan.

« Until 2013 we should construct 29 sports constructions and Universiada village, - he said. This is a big project connected with holding Universiada -2013 in Kazan, and, certainly, we are interested in learning world experience, including experience of Ireland.
