On March 25, during his working trip to Tatarstan Head of the Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev accompanied by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the regional engineering center for industrial laser technologies “KAI-Laser”.
To the point, the center with an area of 1000 m² was established by Tupolev Kazan National Research Technical University together with Tatarstan Government.
Rector of the University Albert Gilmutdinov told about the history of the center creation and prospects of the university development. He reminded that the idea to establish the center was presented to Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation in the presence of Tatarstan President at the International investment forum “Sochi-2013”. The idea was implemented and the center opened in December last year. Gilmutdinov also told about plans for development of “KAI-park”. The German-Russian Institute of new technologies will open on September 1, 2014.
In particular, 440 million roubles were invested from federal and regional budgets (60 and 40 per cent respectively) to implement the project “KAI-Laser”. Featuring cutting-edge technologies and equipment, the center gives support to small and medium production enterprises by implementing modern laser technologies into technological production complexes.
Dmitry Medvedev got acquainted with technologies developed by institutes of Kazan National Research Technical University and small innovative enterprises. Employees of the center presented the double eagle and firebird made using Laser Cut module to the Russian Prime Minister.
On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
