Tatarstan President holds joint session of Security Council and Anti-terrorist commission

On March 26 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a joint session of Security Council and Anti-terrorist commission on efficiency of interaction between law enforcement bodies, state and municipal authorities in the sphere of prevention of extremism and terrorism in Tatarstan.
Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Deputy Chairman of State Council Aleksandr Gusev, heads of ministries and agencies, municipal regions and city districts took part in the session.
Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administrative Office Asgat Safarov, Head of the Department of Federal Security Service in Tatarstan Dinara Khamitova, Minister of the Interior Artem Khokhorin, Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny Vasily Shaikhraziev, Heads of Chistopol and Aznakaevo regions, and Tatarstan Prosecutor Ildus Nafikov made reports at the session.
Participants of the session stated that in spite of measures taken, there is still a danger of radical religious and extremism cases. This fact creates a menace for constructive development of Tatarstan. To the point, 58 criminal cases by 61 extremist and terrorist crimes were opened in 2013, 19 people were sentenced.
The speakers stressed that positive results can only be achieved by efficient interaction between law enforcement and supervision bodies, and municipal authorities.
Tatarstan President focused on responsibility of heads of certain territorial subdivisions of law enforcement bodies.
Most important thing in work of state and municipal authorities is unity of opinions concerning the importance of tough and appropriate anti-extremism and terrorism steps, prevention of the outreach of radical ideas, and provision of favourable conditions for development of the republic and citizens.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
