Mintimer Shaimiev: “We should amaze Bolgar and Sviyazhsk tourists and feel moral satisfaction”

On March 27 Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of the Guardian Council of Regional Foundation of Revival of Historical and Cultural Monuments Mintimer Shaimiev held a session on building up tourist image of Bolgar and Sviyazhsk.
Speaking at the session, Mintimer Shaimiev told that 192, 000 people visited Bolgar and 108, 000 people visited Sviyazhsk in 2013.
Tatarstan State Counsellor believes that the Decree of Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers on promotion of cultural and historical heritage played an important role in reconstruction of cultural and historical monuments.
Mintimer Shaimiev also focused on creation of archeological park in Bolgar that will help to completely reveal its cultural and historical potential, noting the uniqueness of the project for Russia.
Speaking about tourist flow, Mintimer Shaimiev mentioned wide experience of the Kazan Kremlin in organisation of exhibitions.
Making report at the session, Chairman of RT State Tourism Committee Sergey Ivanov expressed his opinion concerning attraction of tourists to Bolgar and Sviyazhsk, focusing of development of event tourism.
“We are going to develop brands for our tourist centres, present Bolgar and Sviyazhsk at international exhibitions in China, Great Britain, Germany, Turkey, Spain, Israel and Arab countries, organize press tours for Russian and foreign tour operators. We will put much emphasis on Internet promotion, and interaction with representative offices of Tatarstan in Russian regions and abroad,” Sergey Ivanov said.
Among problems to be solved for providing favourable conditions for tourists, Sergey Ivanov pointed out expansion of parking area, providing conditions for intake of river vessels, development of recreation, entertainment and technical facilities.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.

On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
