German Pipe Fitting Manufacturing Plant launched in Tatarstan

On May 14, RMA Pipeline Equipment Company (Germany) launched its manufacturing plant at SEZ “Alabuga”. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Director General of OAO “Special Economic Zones” Vadim Tretyakov, owner of RMA Company Andreas Truttenbah and company founder Siegfried Truttenbah attended an opening ceremony.
The new plant will manufacture ball valves for cross-country pipelines. The expected output of not less than 11,000 pieces per year makes it the largest plant of RMA Group. With the announced investment in the project making 1.7 billion roubles, the company will create 645 jobs.
In his welcome speech, Rustam Minnikhanov called the new plant the most advanced enterprise and noted that RMA Group chose Tatarstan to launch its first plant outside the European Union.
“Our task is to establish such high technology enterprises that solve the problem of import substitution and create high technology jobs,” Rustam Minnikhanov stressed.
He thanked the leadership of "Special Economic Zones", investors and builders for successful implementation of the project. Rustam Minnikhanov is sure that high-quality and high-tech products of the plant will be in demand.
The owner of RMA Company Andreas Truttenbah said that a number of places had been considered to implement the project, but SEZ "Alabuga" offered the most favorable conditions. A.Truttenbah thanked Tatarstan leadership and personally Rustam Minnikhanov for assisting in the establishment of the enterprise.
At the end of the ceremony, the distinguished guests turned a symbolic ball valve to mark the opening of the company.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
