Mintimer Shaimiev: “Bolgar is preparing for receiving guests of “Izge Bolgar Zhyeny”

On May 22, Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of Guardian Council of “Revival” Foundation Mintimer Shaimiev visited Bolgar museum reserve to inspect restoration and construction works and preparation for “Izge Bolgar Zhyeny” (translated from Tatar as “the meeting in Holy Bolgar”, held annually on June 14).
Mintimer Shaimiev visited the camping site for 1.5 thousand places, and the camel farm.
The field meeting continued near the Riverside station and Museum of Bolgar civilization. Director of the Institute of Archeology of RT Academy of Sciences Airat Sitdikov told about creation of the Archeological park.
Creation of the centre of Turkic writing was also discussed at the meeting.
Later on the same day, Mintimer Shaimiev visited the Well of Gabdrakhman and surrounding recreation area.
Speaking about preparation for “Izge Bolgar Zhyeny”, Mintimer Shaimiev said that Bolgar is ready to host the event.
Mintimer Shaimiev also visited the 10th Regional musical marathon “Tatarstan children on the great land of ancient Bolgar” that was held at Bolgar Festival Event Complex.
Mintimer Shaimiev presented letters of gratitude to the author of the project idea, people’s artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Lucia Ismagilova, Director of the methodics department for educational art and culture institutions of Tatarstan Ministry of Culture Tatyana Fel, Director of Bolgar children’s art school Irina Ilyukhina, and Head of Culture Department of Efir TV company Dmitry Pivovarov.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
