Ildar Khalikov meets with Managing Director of Euromoney Group Neil Osborn

On May 23, at their meeting within the framework of XVIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and Managing Director of Euromoney Group Neil Osborn discussed issues of cooperation between Tatarstan and Euromoney in some areas.

Ildar Khalikov thanked Neil Osborn for his showing interest in Tatarstan as one of the Russian regions. He said that Tatarstan economy continues to actively develop, improving the image of its capital, Kazan. The Universiade 2013 played a great role in changing the image of the city, he added.
Neil Osborn, in his turn, reminded that Euromoney has already had experience in implementing projects with Tatarstan, and expressed his hope for further development of cooperation. He also noted that the publishing group Euromoney is one of the largest companies in Europe, covering the activities of the financial world. One of the divisions of the company specializes in organizing international financial and economic conferences and forums and works closely with governments in Western and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and South America.

On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.

On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
On 3 January on the errand from the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situations and ensuring fire safety of the republic , held an urgent meeting of the Commission which discussed readiness of forces and means to ensure security during the New Year and Christmas holidays.
