Rustam Minnikhanov: We appreciate high level of cooperation with Turkish Republic

On June 5, during the 6th International economic summit of Russia and OIC countries Kazansummit 2014, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Turkish Minister for European Affairs Mevlut Chavushoglu. “We appreciate high level of cooperation with Turkish Republic that is based on strong and friendly relations,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed Mevlut Chavushoglu and thanked for accepting the invitation to take part in Kazansummit 2014, and congratulated Mr Chavushoglu on assignment to the post of Turkish Minister for European Affairs.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that cooperation between Tatarstan and Turkish Republic is rapidly developing, and country’s leaders have visited Tatarstan several times. Tatarstan representatives visit Turkey very often as well, and they always feel support and open-mindedness of Turkish people.
“Our cooperation brings positive results, the amount of investments made by Turkish businessmen in Tatarstan economy has considerably increased, and Turkey takes the first place by the number of enterprises with foreign capital. 278 Turkish companies work in the republic,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
The President continued that five new enterprises with participation of Turkish investors will open at SEZ “Alabuga” in 2014. Rustam Minnikhanov also reminded about TURKSOI organization and announcement of Kazan the capital of Turkic world in 2014.
“Kazansummit 2014 has become the place where Russia can be integrated into the Islamic world,” Tatarstan President said.
Turkish Minister for European Affairs Mevlut Chavushoglu, in his turn, noted that every year Kazansummit becomes more popular in Islamic world. “Turkish businessmen invest in Russian economy, Russia is the second trade partner of Turkey after Germany,” he added.

On 12 January, congratulating employees of the prosecutor’s office with their professional holiday - Day of the employee of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation- Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin wrote in his address:
“For more than three centuries the prosecutor's office has been the guardian of state and public security as well as constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens of our country.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
