Tatarstan President meets with delegation of South Moravian Region, Czech Republic

On June 16, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with delegation of the South Moravian Region, the Czech Republic, led by the Governor Michal Hašek.
The delegation is staying in Kazan with the return working visit on June 16-18. To the point, Tatarstan delegation visited the Czech Republic last year in April.
“We were impressed by what we saw in the Czech Republic, and your return visit will favour closer cooperation on many projects,” Rustam Minnikhanov said. He added that Tatarstan is interested in cooperation with Czech Republic in trade and economic relations, science, education, building, innovations.
“We know that the President of the Czech Republic is going to visit Russia. If he wants to visit one of Russian regions, we are glad to see him in Tatarstan,” Tatarstan President noted.
Today, Tatarstan and the Czech Republic cooperate in automotive industry, medicine, petrochemistry, building, and agricultural industry.
Rustam Minnikhanov added that the Czech Republic is one of main economic partners of Tatarstan. Tatarstan is one of six Russian regions that were officially announced by the Government of the Czech Republic as priority regions for cooperation.
Speaking at the meeting, Michal Hašek said that Tatarstan would surely become a traditional and important partner for the republic. He informed that South Moravian Region is one of the most developed regions in the sphere of science and innovations. Thus, he was interested in visiting Tatarstan top universities to study their activities.
Michal Hašek offered Rustam Minnikhanov to meet with governors of all regions within the Czech Republic and Slovakia during his next visit. He also added that local resorts are developing in the republic, and invited Rustam Minnikhanov to spend holidays in the Czech Republic.
“I was so happy to accept the invitation of Tatarstan President. South Moravian Region has well developed relations with Russia. I have come with the representative delegation, and we are going to discuss certain projects during our visit to Tatarstan, first of all, in engineering sphere,” Michal Hašek told journalists.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Director of the Fund “The Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Nagumanova informed about preparation to the implementation of the Our Yard programme in the republic.
