Summer Campus of Presidential Academy opened near Kazan

On July 21, the International educational forum "Summer campus of the Presidential Academy" opened at the Kazan Ski Resort.
The best students from 21 Russian regions, with more than half of them being representatives of the Presidential Academy and its branches, are taking part in the meeting. Totally, 250 people, including 30 foreign students came to attend the forum.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Russian Minister for Open Government Affairs Mikhail Abyzov, Rector of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) Vladimir Mau, Member of Board of Trustees of the RANEPA, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the ACIG Group of Companies Viktor Tolmachev took part in an opening ceremony of the International educational forum, the topic of which is “Education of the Future”.
To the point, Chairman of State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Sergey Naryshkin, who is the Academic Advisor of the Summer Campus 2014, sent his video greetings to participants of the forum.
“We are very pleased that this place has become a favorite venue for the Summer Campus of the Presidential Academy," Tatarstan President, Member of Board of Trustees of the RANEPA said, wecoming the audience. Rustam Minnikhanov said that one of the leading Russian centers "Innopolis" will be constructed near the complex. “Here will be the city of future, knowledge and innovation. And you are the ones that bring here everything new that there is in the world,” Rustam Minnikhanov noted.
“It is important to create such conditions that would allow to use your ideas in solving topical objectives.” Rustam Minikhanov thinks that everyone should get a good profession and that it is necessary to learn something new every day.
Vladimir Mau thanked Tatarstan President for holding the forum in the republic for the third time. He clarified that different regions were considered as a potential host for the Summer Campus, however, Tatarstan had the best conditions for the event.
As for the topic of the forum “Education of the Future”, Mikhail Abyzov noted: "Russia has a huge human potential, but for the economic, social and public life of the country it is important to turn it into a human capital that will determine Russia's competitiveness not only in science and technologies, but in public and social life as well. " He also added that all the participants will suggest their own vision on this subject.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
