On August 8, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived in Kamchatka Krai on a working visit, was met by Kamchatka Krai’s Governor Vladimir Ilyukhin at the Pertopavlovsk-Kamchatski airport.

On the first day of his trip Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Paratunsky salmon hatchery. The construction of the hatchery began in 1986 and was completed in 2002. The hatchery’s designed output makes 17.5 million pieces of juvenile salmon, with about 15 million pieces of young fish being released into rivers of Kamchatka Krai annually.

At present, the Paratunsky hatchery is one of the largest Kamchatka hatcheries, equipped with sophisticated technological equipment, water purification plant, and automatic feed distribution line.

Tomorrow, Tatarstan President will take part in the signing of an agreement between Tatarstan and Kamchatka Krai, as well as meet with the leaders and activists of Tatar public organizations.
