Preparation for new academic year discussed at Tatarstan Government House

On August 14, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, members of the Cabinet of Ministers, and heads of municipalities took part in a meeting on preparation of educational organisations for new academic year held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
Minister of Construction Irek Faizullin reported on current repair works at schools, noting that major repair works will be done at 159 schools. 2.55 billion roubles will be allocated for this programme from the regional budget. Besides, 272 million roubles were allocated for providing accessibility of schools for handicapped children.
Tatarstan President addressed heads of State Construction Supervision and Inspection Service with requirement to visit all schools when all repair works will be completed, and work out the major repair programme for next year.
Head of Tatarstan Ministry of Emergency Situations Rafis Khabibullin made report on ensuring fire safety at schools. Rustam Minnikhanov, in his turn, noted that most shortcomings revealed by inspectors of Fire Safety Inspection Service are connected with paper and procedural work.
Head of Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of the Protection of Consumer Rights and Human Welfare Marina Patyashina told that 96 per cent of schools are referred to “good” and “conditionally good” groups in terms of sanitary-epidemiological situation.
“The most important things to pay attention to are the quality of food, water, and sanitary conditions. We now have good catering services in Kazan, and we should study and realize this experience,” Tatarstan President said.
Deputy Minister of the Interior Rafail Gilmanov reported on measures taken on ensuring safety of students.
Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov, who also took part in the meeting, said that 1477 schools, including 7 new schools, will open in the republic on September 1. He also reported on the first day of work of August meeting of educational workers in Sabinsky region.
Summing up, Rustam Minnikhanov called for telling more about sponsors, who help with doing repair works at schools, and asked to organize a contest for the best quality of repair works.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “

There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
