Ildar Khalikov takes part in All-Russia meeting on harvesting works

On August 24, Head of Tatarstan Government Ildar Khalikov took part in All-Russia meeting on harvesting works and measures on increasing agricultural production held by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in Kursk.
Dmitry Medvedev said that the meeting was dedicated to some decisions connected with restrictions on the import of food from abroad, and therefore, some alterations should be made in the state programme of agricultural development.
Speaking about harvesting campaign, Dmitry Medvedev was satisfied with the results. He noted that 66 million tonnes of crops were threshed. “We can completely satisfy the grain demand, provide reserves and even increase export if we need to,” Dmitry Medvedev continued.
Russian Prime Minister noted that the vegetables and potato harvest results are higher this year, and agricultural workers are supplied with seeds by 80 per cent.
According to Dmitry Medvedev, 14.5 billion roubles of federal funds were allocated for ensuring efficient work of agricultural sector.
“Efficient work of agricultural sector is a priority of Russian Government and the whole country. When decisions about restrictions on the import of food from abroad were imposed, this issue has become more urgent. We have a unique opportunity to make a quantum leap in our development, and we out high hopes on agricultural sector,” Russian Prime Minister said.
It was noted that all measures on substitution of some imported agricultural products should be taken, and new mechanisms to support the industry and increase meat, milk and vegetables production should be introduced.
Among priority areas in agricultural development Dmitry Medvedev pointed out modernization of seed growing, development of gardening, glasshouse vegetable growing, and logistics agricultural centres.

On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
