94 per cent of major repair of multi-apartment houses completed

On August 23, at a regional meeting at Tatarstan Government House held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities Irek Faizullin told that the amount of major repair works in multi-apartment houses made 404,63 million roubles (94 per cent).
As for major repair of schools, works are nearly finished in all 45 municipalities.

It was noted that under water supply programme, 328 km of water supply networks and 38 water stations will be built, and 28 artesian wells will be drilled. The amount of programme funding made 690 million roubles.

According to Irek Faizullin, the amount of funding of the lighting reconstruction programme is 225 million roubles. Works have been completed in 41 municipalities.

The Minister also noted that within the framework of preparation for the heating period of 2014/2015, residential houses are ready for 78 per cent, social and cultural objects – for 84 per cent, engineering infrastructure – for 90 per cent.

Summing up, Tatarstan President asked paying special attention to preparation of houses and social infrastructure for the heating season.
Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov took part in the meeting.
